German Delegation Visits Technopark, IT Mission

Technopark, Trivandrum: A five-member team from Kaiserslautern, Germany, visited the Technopark and the Kerala State IT Mission to collaborate with the IT companies here and adapt the best practises of both places.

Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander welcomed the delegation and gave an overview of Kerala’s IT Development. The team then visited the Kerala State IT Mission and met with Director Ishita Roy and her team and Akshaya Director Korath V Mathew.

The delegate team led by Mayor of Kaiserslautern, Dr Klaus Weichel, was accompanied by Prof Dr Rombach, an authority on Embedded Software of Fraunhofer Institute, Dr. Weirner Weiss, Head of Insiders Technology, Dr. Lars Weichel, head BASF and Michael Wenk, Managing Partner of Pre Park Kaiserslautern.

Prof Dr. Rombach, delivered a talk on Embedded Systems, which was attended by IIITM-K students and IT professionals. Dr Weirner Weiss, Head of Insiders Technology, interacted with some of the IT companies based in Technopark for business collaboration.

Dr Lars Weichel, head of BASF, a firm dealing with pest control, interacted with officials from Trivandrum Corporation and Agricultural College, Vellayani. Michael Wenk, Managing Partner of Pre Park Kaiserslautern, made a presentation on the Pre Park in Kaiserslautern and spoke about the collaboration that Indian companies can have with German companies based in Kaiserslautern.

The delegation also met with the Mayor of Trivandrum K Chandrika. Lord Mayor of Kaiserslautern invited Chandrika to visit Kaiserslautern.
